Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is an enchanting family Bollywood movie releasing on 12 November for Diwali, starring the heartthrob Salman Khan and the beautiful Sonam Kapoor.
I attended the Video Conference for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo at Fox Star Studios, Soho Square, London where I was given the opportunity to speak to the Bollywood Star Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor to find out more about their new film. After watching the trailer and seeing the songs I was excited to find out more about the film and some secrets into the making of the film!
My question to Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor was “What was your most memorable moment shooting the film and your favourite scene?”
“Every single day was beautiful” Salman Khan described how walking in the set was like a beautiful holy place and felt beautiful. They cast loved their work and didn’t mind shooting and working long hours although Sooraj Barjatya told them to pack up for the day if they hadn’t completed the scene however the cast were having such a great time they wanted to continue. The film is very large scale and each frame consisted of almost 500-1000 people all dressed up in traditional outfits, “Maharaja” wear. Each day costs approx 45/50 Laks and sometimes even more, so the cast were eager to complete as much as they could even if it meant working long hours as Salman Khan describes the “work was beautiful”.
Some secrets into the film and about the stars in real life as quoted below.
“Vijay Sing is more sexier” Salman Khan
“Sonam is a Princess” Teased to Sonam by Salman Khan that her dad spoils her! How cute!
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya. Salman Khan plays the role of “Prem”, this character is known in the Indian cinema for the romantic role in the mega hit films including Maina Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. The beautiful Sonam Kapoor played the role of a Princess, Maithili.
