What an amazing time I had at the ECommerce Expo at Olympia, London. It was the UK’s biggest marketplace for buyers and suppliers of the latest ecommerce technology, products and services to exhibit. Major brands to include Coca-Cola, Facebook and Google were giving talks on the industry and sharing their stories. The event consisted of the core areas within ecommerce to include marketing platforms, payment and customer service.
Being in the digital online industry and working with clients who need ecommerce websites it was a great opportunity for me to network and get inspiration about the industry and make valuable contacts to work alongside with in the future, as well as have some fun! I got to meet the Star Wars Storm Troopers and also do some magic! Read on!

Educational Seminar Programs
As I have a strong passion and interest for social media I attended The Online Footprint: Website and social platforms seminar by Joe Edwards, Digital and Social Strategy Director, MOI. It was a rich seminar full of valuable content about what it means to have a online footprint, and why brands love peoples digital footprint, how to take care of the journey and use it to their advantage.
It’s important and something which I currently do is to “Use brands to drive conversations”
As I was still tired from walking around the exhibition I decided to sit and listen to the next seminar which was about Using Google Analytics to optimise traffic and sales through SEO and PPC, by Mike Rogers, Managing Director, Optimize Search Marketing. The session covered SEO metrics, useful reports covered in Google Analytics to include SEO Geographical Summary, SEO Landing Pages and SEO Queries. It was very useful knowledge to me as it will also help me explain to clients how they can prioritise efforts to increase visitors to their website using good design and content to create a great customer experience.

There was presentations about emerging technologies, information about innovative start-ups and the chance to get hands-on with the latest technology.

Expert Advice and Training
1-2-1 Clinics were being delivered by experts from the exhibition and were open to anyone to obtain some helpful information.
Networking Opportunities
Hours of networking opportunities were available with plenty of food and drinks on hand!

THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CUSTOMER CONTACT EXPO INCLUDED:
There was no time for lunch as there was another awesome exhibition downstairs, Customer Contact Expo. This was useful to me as it could help me increase my customer engagement strategy and allow me to operate more efficiently. This event was dedicated to businesses working within the contact centre and customer service industry.

It was great meeting with the Customer Contact exhibitors as it allowed me to learn about their services and also practice my customer service skills! Check out my fun times! Also not forgetting my magic act with the magician!
